Rolling Meadows, IL (September 3, 2021) — Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corporation of America announced that their new S-series Network Camera line is being recognized with a New Product of the Year Award (NPoY) from Security Today Magazine.

Juried by a panel of independent judges from the security industry, the New Product of the Year Award recognizes the outstanding product development achievements of security providers whose solutions are particularly noteworthy for their ability to improve security.

The new i-PRO S-series boasts built-in advanced AI processing that transforms the camera into an edge-computing device to improve surveillance operations. It also allows users to select and install third-party applications without relying on a cloud- or server-based connection and provides stronger H.265 coding efficiency to conserve network bandwidth and server storage capacities. With a stronger image processing optimization, the new S-series can adapt to changing scene environments and produces clearer images with less noise, even in low-light conditions.

Additionally, the new S-series offers sound classification that allows you to set alarms for targeted sounds, such as gunshots, yelling, vehicle horns and glass breaking using an external mic. Plus, it is compatible with i-PRO’s Active Guard system, a time-saving search function that quickly finds people or vehicles through the video management software, Video Insight and Genetec.

The new camera line comes in three models, indoor dome, indoor vandal dome and indoor box. With premium features now available in their most popular line, the new i-PRO S-series is setting the standard in surveillance cameras.
