How do I add cameras in VI Monitor Plus version 7.9.X?

Cameras can be added to VI under the following VI Monitor Plus menu, [Administration] → [Servers] → [Server Setup] → [Cameras]

 1. Sign into VI Monitor Plus
 2. Locate the Server on the left-hand tree, right click on this server and select "Properties"
 3. Once this window pops up, click the "Cameras" tab
 4. From here, you will be able to add cameras Manually or by Auto Discover
 5. Once you add all necessary cameras, save the configuration

 

Case 1. Add a Camera Manually

You can add cameras by inputting IP Address, Username, Password, Model of camera, and camera’s credentials

 1. Click Add Camera
Under Details:
・Input the camera name as you want it to appear in VI Monitor Plus
・Select the Server for the camera
・Select the Manufacturer - then camera model - enter the camera IP address
・Input the camera's credentials
 2. Click Add

 

Case 2. Add Using Auto Discover

Auto Discover: Scans the customers Network or IP Cameras, and displays them for you to add.

 1. Click discover camera
 2. Select the Network card, and set the camera credentials
 3. Click discover cameras
 4. Select the cameras
 5. Click Add Selected cameras

If you are adding a multi-lens camera, check the box next to shared IP address option.
Assign each lens a unique number by using the + to increase the number and the - to decrease the number. *This field will only assign a number to the current lens and not designate how many lenses are attached to a single IP address,

 

If you need to use alternate ports check the box next to Alternate Ports and designate which protocol and the port to communicate over
