Depending on the setting, you may be able to change the administrator name and password from HDMI monitor settings screen.
Case 1. Standard User Can’t Login
In this case, if the Administrator still has access to the NVR, they can login and update the credentials for the standard user.
Case 2. Administrator Can’t Login
If the Admin user can’t login from the web browser because they don’t know their credentials, then try connecting directly to the NVR with HDMI outputs and USB ports for a mouse.
If [ Auto login ] setting of [ User management ] is set to ON and [ Auto login user ] is set to administrator (initial setting), you can change the administrator name and password from the HDMI monitor setting screen, [ Settings ] --> [ User management ] --> [ Administrator Setup ] tab.
By default, the local/direct connection to the NVR is not password protected. If this is still the case, use the HDMI monitor and USB mouse to navigate the NVR screen and click Setup.
Once in the Setup menu, you can edit the Admin password as you see fit.
Case 3. Administrator is Completely Locked out of the NVR
If the Admin cannot login from either the web browser or direct connection to the NVR, then you must contact i-PRO support for assistance.
If [ Auto login ] setting is set to OFF, PC access only, or WJ-ND400K, it is necessary to initialize the recorder. Initialization will be handled as a repair in the service department.
Before contacting i-PRO support, ensure that you have direct/local connection to the NVR.
HDMI monitor and USB mouse connections are required.
