Why is the video, that I exported from VI, playing back at a high speed?

Problem Description
After exporting video from VI and playing the file on most standard media players (Ex. Windows Media Player or VLC), parts of the video are playing back at a higher speed. As if it were being fast forwarded.
If there is a difference in framerate settings between Record Always and Motion Recording, then this phenomenon will be observed.
If this is a concern, consider the following options:
- Playback the video on VI Viewer Plus. It should playback normally
- Consider unchecking “Record Always at 1 FPS”
- Consider recording continuously at a constant framerate
Confirm how the camera is being recorded.
- Log into VI Monitor Plus using a VI Admin account
- Click the Administration Tab
- Click Cameras
- Select configure Properties
- Select the correct camera
- Go to the Recording tab > Recording Type
- If it’s set to “On Motion Only” and “Record Always at x FPS” is checked, then this phenomenon will occur
Confirmed on VI version 7.9.3
