Water Resource Preservation

Basic Approach

While i-PRO's manufacturing operations typically involve lower water use than many water‑intensive industries, i-PRO recognizes the conservation and efficient use of limited water resources as key environmental issues.
To help realize a sustainable society, i-PRO will thoroughly minimize water usage, prevent wasteful use and leaks, and actively pursue improvement opportunities through quantitative measurement and monitoring of water consumption.
i-PRO also considers the water environment in regions where its operation bases are located and works to minimize environmental impact in collaboration with local communities.
Through these efforts, i-PRO contributes to the sustainable use of water resources and conservation of local environments.

Organization and Systems

i-PRO positions environmental management, including conservation of water resources, as a management issue, and promotes group-wide efforts under the supervision of the Board of Directors.
The Sustainability Committee—chaired by the CEO as the top management representative—deliberates on all environmental issues, including policies and measures concerning water resources, and has established a system to report and make recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Under this committee, i-PRO has established a subcommittee responsible for environmental field. It collaborates with various divisions, including our manufacturing sites in Fukuoka and Saga, to implement specific initiatives.
Water resource management is operated as part of the Environmental Management System (EMS), under which water usage is continuously monitored, efforts are made to prevent water leakage, and consideration is given to the local water environment.
In this way, i-PRO has established a mechanism under company-wide governance that balances the conservation of limited water resources with their efficient use.

Key Initiatives

Initiatives to Conserve Water Resources

To ensure the sustainable use of limited water resources over the long term, i-PRO monitors water usage across its business activities and implements appropriate management practices.
At manufacturing and development sites, i-PRO quantitatively tracks and monitors water consumption, continuously reviewing actual usage conditions and working to prevent unnecessary use and water leakage.
In addition, with consideration for the local water environment, wastewater generated through operations is properly treated and managed in accordance with applicable laws and internal standards, with the aim of minimizing the impact on local water resources.
These initiatives are implemented under a company-wide framework based on the principles of i-PRO’s Environmental Management System (EMS). Going forward, i-PRO will continue to monitor water usage conditions while promoting harmony between its business activities and the surrounding environment, and remain committed to the conservation of water resources.
