Key Initiatives

Target Setting and Implementation

i-PRO identifies the environmental impacts associated with its business activities and sets environmental targets on an annual basis. Environmental organizations and individual departments develop action plans to achieve these targets and promote initiatives while regularly monitoring progress.

Operational Control and Legal Compliance

For key areas such as waste management, chemical substances, energy consumption, and fluorocarbon equipment management, operational controls are implemented in accordance with internal rules. In addition, applicable environmental laws, regulations, and other requirements are identified, and compliance is periodically evaluated to ensure thorough legal compliance and to reduce environmental risks.

Continuous Improvement through Audits and Management Review

The operation of the environmental management system is verified through internal audits. Audit results and environmental performance are reported to top management, and corrective actions and improvements are implemented through management reviews. These outcomes are then reflected in targets and initiatives for the following fiscal year to promote continuous improvement.

Environmental Education

To develop human resources that support environmentally responsible business activities, i-PRO provides systematic environmental education programs for employees. The education programs consist of two components: General Environmental Education and Specialized Environmental Education, which are designed to enable employees to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills according to their roles and responsibilities. General Environmental Education aims to deepen understanding of the importance of environmental conservation while providing opportunities to learn about i-PRO’s environmental policy, objectives, and relevant laws and regulations, thereby fostering environmental awareness in daily work activities. Specialized Environmental Education, on the other hand, is intended for employees engaged in environmental-related operations and focuses on the acquisition of more practical and specialized knowledge.

The main training areas include the following:

  • Chemical Management: Acquisition of knowledge regarding the proper handling of chemical substances used in products and manufacturing processes, as well as compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Fluorocarbon Equipment Management: Practical training on the management of refrigerant equipment and the prevention of refrigerant leakage
  • Waste Management: Education on the proper treatment of waste generated from business activities and the promotion of recycling
  • Internal Auditor Training: Acquisition of knowledge and skills required to conduct internal audits of the Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Compliance Evaluation Training: Training to accurately evaluate compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards

These education programs are conducted on a regular basis, and participation status and learning outcomes are managed and retained as education records.

Awareness-raising Activities

i‑PRO continuously implements environmental awareness and engagement activities with the aim of further enhancing environmental awareness among each employee. During Environmental Month, as a company-wide initiative, i-PRO CEO delivers a message to all employees. Through this message, i‑PRO emphasizes the importance of environmental conservation and encourages the practice of environmental considerations in daily operations, thereby promoting greater awareness and behavioral change among employees.
In addition, at the Kaizuka R&D Center, i‑PRO places importance on coexistence with the local community and conducts regular cleanup activities in the surrounding area. These activities contribute to improving the local environment while also providing employees with opportunities to experience environmental conservation as a familiar and tangible part of their daily work. Going forward, we plan to expand these initiatives to other sites and further promote coexistence with local communities.
Through both education and awareness-raising initiatives, i‑PRO is fostering an environmentally conscious corporate culture and strengthening its efforts toward the realization of a sustainable society.

i‑PRO operates an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 and is committed to the continuous improvement of its environmental performance.
