Note:
When using AI Scene change detection, many models require an SD card. Ensure that it is inserted into the camera for saving learning images.
SD card-less operation is supported on models equipped with the Ambarella CV52 SoC.
Applicable models: Please filter by [System-on-chip] = [Ambarella CV52] in the Product Selector.
AI Scene change detection:
AI Scene change detection can learn the normal scene for each camera and trigger an alarm when an abnormal condition is detected.
AI Scene change detection | i-PRO Products
1. Camera Settings
AI Scene change detection settings cannot be configured via the Camera Browser. Please use the latest version of i-PRO configuration tool (iCT) or i-PRO Settings Plug-in for Genetec.
This section uses the i-PRO Settings Plug-in for Genetec as an example.
i-PRO Configuration Tool / i-PRO Settings Plug-in for Genetec:
i-PRO Configuration Tool
1. Register the camera to the Security Center.
2. Go to [Config Tool] > [Task], then click [i-PRO Settings].
3. Log in using the [Username] and [Password] you used when logging into the Security Center.
4. Enter the [Username] and [Password] for the camera, then click [Start].
5. Click [Completed].
6. Click the gear icon to open the settings screen for the target camera.
7. Go to [Ext. software] > [Operation sched.] > [Operation sched.].
Select [AI Scene change detection] in the [Extension software] .
Enable the timetable by selecting [On] and click [Set].
8. Go to [Ext. software] > [Application] > [AI scene change detection VX.XX] and adjust the settings as guidance.
In the [Detector setting] step, click [Set], then click [Next].
9. In the [Detection area settings] step, create a detection area and select the corresponding detection area number.
Select [On] for [Abandonment detection].
Click [Set], then click [Next].
Detection area:
Select the detection area number. If "All" is selected, the settings will apply to all configured detection areas. If "All" is not selected, only the items selected by the checkbox on the left of each item will be applied.
Detection time:
Set the duration for detecting changes in the detection area. It indicates when a continuous state change exceeds the detection time.
State inversion:
On: Triggers an alarm when the state matches the learning state.
Off: Triggers an alarm when the state differs from the learning state.
Abandonment detection:
Turn it "On" when using it to detect abandoned items (suspicious objects, etc.).
-When abandonment detection is turned on, objects of a certain size are detected regardless of the area change threshold setting. (Guideline: approximately 5% to 50% of the screen's width)
-When abandonment detection is set to "On" and multiple detection areas are enabled, the image change threshold and detection time will be based on the values of the detection area with the lowest number.
10. In the [Save images to be learned] step, click [Snapshot] to save the learning image.
Click [Next].
11. In the [Learning] step, click [Display].
12. Select the desired image, and click [Start Learning].
13. Wait until learning is completed.
14. After learning is completed, click [Next].
15. In the [Confirmation of learning results] step, click [Display].
16. In the [Demo] screen, if a detection occurs, the frame color will change from blue to red.
17. After confirming the learning results, click [Finished].
2. Genetec Settings
2.1 Event Notification Settings
Configure the settings to enable alarms to be received in Security Desk.
1. Open Security Desk, go to [Options] > [Events] > [Event options].
2. Check [Object condition changed], then click [Save].
3. Go to [Security Desk] > [Tasks] > [Monitoring].
4. Click [Monitoring] in the bottom-left menu, then click [+] to add the target camera.
2.2 Event-to-action Settings (Optional)
When an AI Scene change detection event occurs, you can configure an action to be executed. As an example, this section describes how to display alarm notifications on the [Alarm monitoring] tab.
2.2.1 Alarm Settings
1. Open [Config Tool].
2. Go to [Config Tool] > [Alarms].
3. Click [Add an entity], and select [Alarm].
4. Enter "AI SCENE CHANGE" in [Name], and then click [Apply].
5. Go to the [Properties] tab.
6. Click [+] in Recipients, and select the target users. Click [Add].
7. Click [Apply].
2.2.2 Action Settings
1. In Security Center, go to [Config Tool] > [Automation] > [Actions].
2. Click [+].
3. Set the parameters as follows.
When: Select [Object condition changed].
From: Select the target camera.
Action: Select [Trigger an alarm].
Alarm: Select the alarm you created.
4. Click [Save].
3. How It Works
3.1 Verifying Event Reception on the Monitoring Tab
1. Open Security Desk, go to the [Monitoring] tab.
2. When an AI Scene change detection event occurs, an [Object condition changed] event appears in the [Monitoring] tab.
3.2 Verifying Alarm Reception on the Alarm Monitoring Tab
1. Open Security Desk, go to the [Alarm monitoring] tab.
2. When an AI Scene change detection event occurs, an [AI SCENE CHANGE] alarm appears in the [Alarm monitoring] tab.
