  • Video Insight VMS
  • Troubleshooting

Depending on the hardware issue, the following options are available:

Case 1. Manufacturer Support

You may contact the server manufacturer to request support. Note that there will be a cost, since the hardware is out of warranty.

Case 2. Manufacturer Extended Warranty

It may be possible to purchase an extended warranty from the hardware manufacturer. You can contact them to confirm their options.

Case 3. Defective Hard Drives

In the case of defective HDD’s, it would be most cost effective for you to purchase the HDD(s), rebuild the OS, and reinstall the VI software.

Case 4. Replace the IP Server

Aside from HDD failures, for any other hardware issues, you can consider purchasing a new IP Server, with up-to-date server components, and a full warranty.
