How is IP address assigned automatically when the network settings is Auto (AutoIP) or Auto (Adcanved) ?

An assignment method for IP addresses depends on whether there is the DHCP server or not.

Auto (AutoIP)

　・Camera assigns the IP address by using DHCP functionality.
　　 # In case that IP address cannot be acquired from DHCP server.
　　Camera searches the IP address that is not used in the same network from 169.254.1.0 to 169.254.254.255 and assigns it.

 

Auto (Advanced) 

　1. No DHCP server.
　　Camera always assigns 192.168.0.10 (fixed).
　　Camera does not search and also does not perform the overlapping detection for IP address.


　2. There is a DHCP server.
　　Camera checked the network address information by using DHCP functionality and assigns the unused IP address as a fixed IP address.
　　Camera automatically decides the IP address to be assigned within the range of Subnet mask.
