Why does my i-PRO network joystick controller not move cameras in VI Monitor Plus?

You’ve successfully setup the i-PRO WV-CU950 and/or WV-CU980 joystick controller on the hardware side and software side. The joystick is added to the VI Joystick Control Service. Within VI Monitor Plus, you’ve also labeled cameras with the joystick logical numbers. This will let you choose the camera numbers.
But no matter what camera number you select on the joystick, it does not select the camera and and it does not move or PTZ the camera.
On the joystick, you must set the Monitor to 0 for VI monitor Plus to interact with the joystick and to perform PTZ navigation.
1. Log into the joystick device with the set User ID
2. Select Monitor 0
3. Then Select camera ID
Example for selecting camera 18 to display and PTZ on VI Monitor Plus.
On the Joystick keyboard, press the following buttons:
0 + MON(ESC)
18 + CAM (SET)
