Is it possible to use the preset operation via external I/O (input and output) terminal with the Self-return function?

Yes, when the alarm is generated from the external I/O (input and output) terminal, the camera moves to the preset position and after “Self return time” has passed, the camera returns to the home position.
The setting procedure is in the following.
[ Example ]
#Preset operation by the external I/O (input and output) terminal
1. Click the [Setup>>] button of “Preset position” on the [Image/Position] tab of the “Image/Audio” page.
2. Set "Preset position"
3. Click the [Alarm] tab on the “Alarm” page
4. Select "Alarm input(TRM1)" and "open / close" on the "Terminal1" and configure the settings relating to the camera
action on alarm occurrence
5. Select the preset position on the"Terminal1"
6. Click [Set] button
#Self return function
1. Click the [Cam. Function] tab on the “Image/Audio” page
2. Select "Home position" on the "Self return"
3. Set "Self return time" that is the period until the camera starts the selected operation.
4. Click [Set] button
