Surveillance Cameras with Built-In AI Processing Wins Top Technology Award
Rolling Meadows, IL (February 3, 2022) – Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corporation of America is proud to announce that their S-series network camera line has been recognized as one of Security Sales & Integration’s Top 30 Technology Innovations of 2021. The S-series was acknowledged for its embedded artificial intelligence (AI) processing, advanced edge-computing capabilities and superior imaging technology.

The new i-PRO S-series allows users to select and install third-party analytics without the need for a cloud or server connection. This allows all S-series cameras to live where “decisions” need to be made — at the edge. With stronger H.265 coding efficiencies and image-processing optimization, these cameras uniquely conserve valuable bandwidth and recording storage space. By optimizing image settings, the S-series cameras produce a clearer image in challenging light conditions, such as low-light, backlit and nighttime environments. The cameras even feature sound classification analytics for setting alarms based on specific sounds, such as gunshots, vehicle horns or glass breaking.
All i-PRO S-series cameras come bundled with AI software analytics, a five-year warranty and a Video Insight VMS camera license. Plus, they are compatible with i-PRO’s Active Guard system, an easy-to-use search function that quickly finds people or vehicles via i-PRO’s own Video Insight or Genetec VMS platforms. The new camera line is currently available in three models: indoor dome, indoor vandal dome and indoor box.
