This article describes the recommended light levels for “Intelligent Auto” of WV-U Series cameras to work effectively when capturing moving subjects.

Effective light level

The table below shows the light levels which are expected to be effective for the visibility of moving subjects when shooting with Intelligent Auto function(iA) enabled on WV-U series cameras. 

Note: The values listed below are reference light levels. They can vary depending on the subjects captured. 

 Full HD/ HD Cameras: 250lx or more is recommended (500lx or more when smoke type dome cover is installed)
4MP Cameras: 400lx or more is recommended (800lx or more when smoke type dome cover is installed)

The iA function of WV-S series works under lower light level as the lenses and the noise reduction function are different from those of WV-U series.
