Can auto track be used during patrol or auto pan operation?

  • Network Cameras
  • Specification

It depends on the model.
WV-S61300 series and WV-S65300 series are available.

Case 1. WV-S61300 series and WV-S65300
The auto track function automatically tracks and captures images of the subject when it is detected in an auto pan, preset sequence/preset position, patrol or area, that has been set in advance.

Case 2. Non-compliant model
If the application is to use the camera’s VMD (Video Motion Detection) to trigger the autotrack , then this cannot work together with patrol or auto pan.
The camera must be in a stationary position, for several seconds in order for motion detection to pick up any movements.
For this scenario, VMD areas can be setup on a Home Position or a preset sequence with adequate dwell times between presets (consider 10 seconds or more). With this setup, the VMD can trigger an auto track.

So, if camera motion detection will be the trigger for an Autotrack, the recommendation is to use it in tandem with a preset sequence.
