Is there any guideline of bandwidth between gigabit Ethernet switches for designing i-PRO system?

In the Network design of i-PRO system, please connect each switches by giga bit (1000BASE-T) and design bandwidth less than 400Mbps. (40% of 1Gbps) to prevent packet loss.
