Third-Party Application Alarm Event

Scenario:
With i-PRO Active Guard server v2.0.0 or later, alarm events from third-party camera applications are fully compatible. A simpler integration can also be achieved by using i-PRO Maximizer instead of i-PRO Active Guard. For more information, refer to the i-PRO Maximizer page. This page explains how to configure alarm events from third-party applications in i-PRO Active Guard and Milestone XProtect:

1. i-PRO Active Guard Server Configuration
1.1 Register Appplication and Event Name
1. Open the i-PRO Active Guard configuration in a browser at https://<ip>:8092.
2. Click [Register Cameras] > Information icon.
Note: In i-PRO Active Guard server v2.1.0 or earlier, it is necessary to open [C:\MultiAI\Backup\3rdpartyApp.config] on the PC where the Active Guard server is installed. If you have changed the installation path from the default, edit the same file located in the updated folder.
3. Click [Edit the file to use 3rd party app event].
4. Enter information about each app used in the system in [application_name_x] and [event_name_x], then click [Save].
Note: Remove the semicolon(;) at the beginning of each line.
1.2 Register Cameras on the i-PRO Active Guard Configuration
1. Select [Add devices] > [Camera(s) from VMS].
2. All i-PRO cameras, including unsupported ones, will be displayed.
Enter the camera’s credentials and click [Check].
3. Once the camera is displayed, click [Save].
1.3 Restart i-PRO Active Guard Process
1. Click [Restart].
2. Milestone XProtect Configuration
2.1 Create Analytics Events
1. Open Management Client and select [Rules and Events] > [Analytics Events].
2. Right-click on [Analytics Events] and select [Add New ...].
3. Enter [Name].
Note: [Name] must match the configured event name.
2.2 Create Alarm Definitions
1. Select [Alarm] > [Alarm Definitions].
2. Right-click on [Alarm Definitions] and select [Add New ...].
3. Enter any name under [Name].
4. Select [Analytics Events] from the first [Triggering event] drop-down, and select the target event from the second drop-down.
5. Select the target camera under [Sources].
3. How It Works
3.1 Alarm Manager
1. Open Smart Client and select the [Alarm Manager].
2. When an alarm is triggered, the Alarm Manager on XProtect Smart Client displays the event.

3.2 Searching Past Events
1. Select [i-PRO Active Guard] > [Event].
2. You can search for past events using the i-PRO Active Guard Event tab. The configured event name will be shown in the [Extension app. event] filter.
