Executing Actions for Multiple Cameras

Scenario:
This page explains how to configure Milestone XProtect to execute actions for multiple cameras and uses the autofocus function enabled by installing i-PRO Maximizer as an example.
Note:
You need to install i-PRO Maximizer. For actions that can be added by i-PRO Maximizer, please refer to Action to Camera Control. If you want to use custom commands, please refer to Camera Control by User-Defined CGI.

1.1 Add User-defined Events
1. Open [Management Client] and go to [Rules and Events] > [User-defined Events].
2. Right-click [Events] and click [Add User-defined Event...].
3. Enter the event name and click [OK].
1.2 Rule Settings
1. Go to [Rules and Events] > [Rules].
2. Right-click on [Rules] and click [Add Rule…].
3. In Step 1, enter the name of the rule.
Then click [event].
4. Select [Events] > [External Events] > [User-defined Events] > [Autofocus].
Click [OK].
5. Click [Next].
6. In Step 2, click [Next].
7. In Step 3, select the action you want to execute.
In the example, select [Execute Auto Focus (Fixed) on <i-PRO camera>].
Then click [i-PRO camera].
8. Add the target camera and click [OK].
9. Click [Next].
10. In Step 4, click [Finish].
2. How It Works
1. Open [Smart Client].
2. Click [Event].
Select [All event types] > [Autofocus].
Click [Activate] to perfrom autofocus.
