Troubleshooting: TCP Alarm Configuration in an Environment with Multiple Archivers

Last updated: December 2025

Scenario: If multiple Archivers are configured on the same PC, TCP Notification port conflicts may occur, which can prevent alarms from being received correctly. To ensure proper alarm reception, please verify that each Archiver is assigned a unique TCP Notification port.

1. Check the Genetec Settings
2. Check the Camera Settings

1. Check the Genetec Settings

1.1 Check the TCP Notification Port

1. Select [Archiver] in [Config Tool] > [Video] > [Roles and units].

2. Open the [Extensions] tab and select [i-PRO/Panasonic] in [Installed extensions].

3. Ensure that the [TCP Notification port] under [Notifications] does not conflict with the port number used by other Archivers.(Default: 1818)

4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each Archiver.

For example:

Archiver1: 1818

 Archiver2: 1819

2. Check the Camera Settings

2.1 Check the TCP Notification Port

When the [TCP Notification port] is changed in Step 1, the registered cameras will reconnect and update the port number.

Verify that the destination port on the camera side matches the Archiver’s [TCP Notification port] configured in Step 1.

1. Open the [Notification] in [Setup]>[Alarm].

2. Check the [Destination port].

 For example:

Archiver1: 1818

 Archiver2: 1819
