i-PRO AI-VMD in Genetec RSA Surveillance Plugin
Last updated: December 2025
The Genetec RSA Surveillance Plugin provides the following functionalities:
- Detects intrusions into designated areas and displays target icons and tracking paths on the map.
- Triggers events and alarms upon target detection.
- Tracks and monitors target movement within RSA zones.
Scenario: This page outlines the procedures for configuring and operating i-PRO AI-VMD using the Genetec RSA Surveillance Plugin.
For details on supported tracking systems in the RSA Surveillance Plugin, refer to the following device list:
Genetec RSA Surveillance Technology Partners and Supported Device List.
1. System Configuration Procedure
2. Operational Verification Procedure
1. System Configuration Procedure
1.1 Pre-Configuration
1.1.1 Camera-Side Configuration
1. AI-VMD Installation and Configuration
Download and install the AI-VMD application.
Note: Use AI-VMD version 3.80 or later.
2. AI-VMD Settings
Refer to AI-VMD for Genetec for detailed.
4. Execute steps 1.1 to 1.3 under [1. Camera Settings] in the AI-VMD for Genetec Configuration Guide.
Configure the detection area, detection object, and detection mode in the setup tool.
5. Execute the camera position settings in 1.4. Detail setting of the AI-VMD for Genetec Configuration Guide.
Open [Detail setting] > [Latitude / longitude sending settings] and set the following:
- Latitude / longitude sending settings
- Camera location(Latitude)
- Camera location(Longitude)
- Camera location(Azimuth)
- Camera height
Note: Please enter exact information.
・When entering the [Latitude/Longitude of the center of the angle of view], make sure to set them using the live camera view.
・For PTZ cameras, you do not need to consider the camera’s Pan/Tilt directions, as the camera will calculate the values
based on the current Pan/Tilt information.
・Please ensure that when entering the value, the center of the screen clearly shows the actual floor surface.
If there are any objects obstructing the view of the floor, the exact position cannot be determined.
・After setup, confirm the detection result by having a person stand at the center.
Recommendation for the center adjustment
Recommended:
1. Ensure the center of the live camera view shows the floor
2. At least 5 meters away from the camera position
Not Recommended:
1. Having objects obstructing the floor view at the center
2. Less than 5 meters away from the camera position
