SD Backup Trigger
Triggers SD backup recording when VMS connection is lost
The application runs as a background service on the camera and periodically checks the reachability of configured VMS servers by pinging their IP addresses. Each VMS server target can be enabled or disabled individually. When one or more enabled VMS servers become unreachable, the application determines that the connection to the central recording system is unstable and triggers SD card recording on the camera. When all enabled VMS servers become reachable again, SD card recording is stopped automatically.
The application also provides a web-based interface for configuring the check interval, camera authentication information, VMS server IP addresses, and enable/disable status for each target. It displays the current connection status and recording status in near real time and saves configuration data for reuse after the application or camera is restarted.

| Note | This application is designed to complement, not replace, the VMS or primary recording system. It provides an additional backup layer on the camera by triggering SD card recording when the connection to configured VMS servers becomes unavailable. This helps reduce the risk of video data loss during network failures, VMS server disconnections, or central recording system incidents. If no VMS server targets are enabled, SD card recording is not triggered. |
