5. How It Works
5.1 Automatic Linkage between Security Radar and PTZ
When the Security Radar detects an intruder, the position is shown on the map.
The PTZ camera automatically follows the target using AI-based Auto Tracking as instructed by the Security Radar.
5.2 PTZ Camera Auto Tracking on Security Radar Alarms
When the Security Radar generates an alarm, the Radar detection information is sent to the PTZ camera. Upon receiving the alarm, the PTZ camera starts auto tracking. At the same time, the PTZ camera issues an Auto Tracking Alarm, which can be received by Milestone.
1. Start the Smart Client.
Click [Alarm Manager] tab to display the alarm history.
2. The received alarm list is displayed.
If the Security Radar camera video is specified as the related camera in Step 2 of 4.5 Alarm Definitions, it is displayed in a split view as shown in the figure below.
3. To display the Radar detection event name in the Smart Client Alarm Manager, the following settings must be configured in the Management Client.
Select [Alarms] > [Alarm Data Settings] > [Alarm List Configuration]
Move [Tag] and [Type] from Available columns to Selected columns, then save the settings by clicking [Save] at the top left.
Open [Smart Client] and select [Alarm Manager].
Right-click on the row displaying the item name in the list, and check [Object].
5.3 Manual PTZ Linking by Clicking the Security Radar Map View
Clicking the Security Radar map image causes the PTZ camera to move in the direction clicked on the map.
Therefore, the PTZ function for the Security Radar must be enabled in Milestone.
1. Select the target Security Radar in the [Recording Server] window in the Management Client.
2. In the [Properties] window, Click [PTZ] tab.
3. Check [Enable PTZ] checkbox for Camera 2.
4. Click [Save].
5. Start the Smart Client.
Clicking on the Security Radar map image moves the PTZ camera view in the direction clicked.
