Before registering cameras in Security Center SaaS, you need to complete the initial setup process. This includes creating your SaaS account, configuring system settings, and ensuring network connectivity as described in the Setup overview for Security Center SaaS.

1. Preparation

Prepare the required software and configuration prerequisites.

Items to prepare

  • Camera firmware version 92.62 or later
  • Extension software
D2C for Genetec Security Center SaaS version 1.01 or later
D2C for Genetec Security Center SaaS
  • Internet connection to the camera

Ensure that the restrictions and requirements for D2C Application software version 1.01 or later are met.

  • Uninstall all other apps. (This is due to limited camera resources; however, improvements are planned.)
  • It is not possible to transfer recorded data from the SD card to the cloud, but the camera itself can record on the SD card in JPEG format.
Therefore, the SD card recording format must be set to Off, JPEG(1), or JPEG(2) (default: JPEG(2)).
  • Do not change streaming settings (framerate, resolution, H.265) on the camera browser when connected to the cloud.
  • Maximum of 5 sessions via camera browser while connected to the cloud
  • ONVIF should be set to ON (Setup->Network->ONVIF)    (Same as Default)
