1-1. Camera Registration

Register the camera to VMS.

1-2. Log in to the Configuration Tool

Access the camera using Genetec credentials.

Open Genetec's i-PRO Configuration Tool.
Select [Config Tool] - [Task] - [i-PRO Configuration Tool for Genetec] - [i-PRO Settings].
*i-PRO Configuration Tool Plugin for Genetec must be installed beforehand.

 

Click the [Log in] button.
*Log in with the Username/Password you used when you logged in to the Security Center.

 

Select the target device and enter the [Username] and [Password] to access the device.

Click the [Start] button.

 

Click the gear icon to open camera setup.

 

1-3. Adjust Camera Angle

Select [Ext. software] - [Application] - [AI Vehicle Detection].
Adjust the camera angle using "Best shot confirmation" to check the best shot images.

1-4. Schedule Settings

Select [Ext. software] - [Operation sched.].
In the Extension software field, select AI Vehicle Detection, and check that the schedule is enabled.

 

2. Installation of i-PRO Active Guard

Refer to the i-PRO Active Guard Setup Instructions for Genetec to complete the installation.

 

3. Watchlist and Action Configuration

3-1. Creating a Watch List

Select [Security Desk] - [Task] - [i-PRO Active Guard Search].

 

Select "Setup watchlists".

 

Select [Vehicles] and click "Create a new watchlist".

 

Select the attributes you want to add to the watchlist.
You can also register an image and automatically select attributes from the image.
To select attributes from a vehicle image, select the image to be registered from the "Search by photo" field.
After selecting the attributes, click "Save watchlist".

 

3-2. Action setting

Select [Config Tool] - [System] - [General settings] - [Actions].
Click the “+” button.

 

Under "When," select "Registered Vehicle Detection(i-PRO)".
Under "Action," select the action to be performed when the event occurs. In this example, "Play sound" is selected.
Click "Save".

 

4. Monitoring and Searching Watchlist Events

4-1. Monitoring Watchlist Events

Select [Security Desk] - [Tasks] - [Monitoring].
Click "Monitoring" in the bottom left menu. Click the + button to add the target camera.

 

When a registered watchlist is detected, "Registered Vehicle Detection(i-PRO)" will be displayed.

 

4-2. Searching Watchlist Events

Select [Security Desk] - [Tasks] - [i-PRO Active Guard Event].

 

Select conditions such as "Entities", "Event", "Time range", and click "Generate report" to display the reports.
In the "Registered vehicle detection" filter, filtering is possible using the created watchlists.

 

4-2-3. Registered Vehicle Detection Filter

With this filter enabled, all vehicles matching the vehicle watchlist are shown.
Also, using the filter panel, you can select specific registered items from the vehicle watchlist.

 

4-2-4. Display Search Result

After clicking "Generate report" to display the reports, a list of events that match the conditions will be shown.

 

You can play it by clicking on the thumbnail.

 

5. Searching for Vehicles by Attribute

Select [Security Desk] - [Tasks] - [i-PRO Active Guard Search].

 

Select the date, cameras, and Vehicle filter options, then click Search.

 

With the Vehicle filter enabled, only the thumbnails of vehicles detected by the AI camera with the vehicle detection app are shown.
Also, using the filter panel, you can apply the search condition.

 

Features and Controls	Description
Uploading vehicle picture	If a picture is uploaded, features are automatically detected.
Type	Truck, Bus, SUV, Van, Sedan, Pickup Truck, Two-Wheel
Color	Black, Brown, White, Gray, Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple, Pink
Moving Direction	Up, Up right, Right, Down right, Down, Down left, Left, Up left
Additional filters	Color image only Note: Black & white images may show in the search results even if only "Color image only" is specified.
Threshold	Low, Average, High
Include similar color	If selected, the color similar to the specified color will be automatically selected.

 

You can also search by photo. Click "Detect object".

 

Upload a photo and select a detected vehicle from the list.
Click "OK". Features are automatically detected.

 

The search results matching the criteria will be displayed in a list.

 

You can play it by clicking on the thumbnail.
