1-1. Camera Registration

Register the camera to VMS.

1-2. Log in to the Configuration Tool

Access the camera using Genetec credentials.

Open Genetec's i-PRO Configuration Tool.
Select [Config Tool] - [Task] - [i-PRO Configuration Tool for Genetec] - [i-PRO Settings].
*i-PRO Configuration Tool Plugin for Genetec must be installed beforehand.

Click the [Log in] button.
*Log in with the Username/Password you used when you logged in to the Security Center.

 

Select the target device and enter the [Username] and [Password] to access the device.

Click the [Start] button.

 

Click the gear icon to open camera setup.

 

1-3. Adjust the camera angle.

Select [Ext. software] - [Application] - [AI Face Detection].
Adjust the camera angle using the navigation screen and Face Matching Confirmation.

1-4. Schedule Settings

Select [Ext. software] - [Operation sched.].
In the Extension software field, select AI Face Detection, and check that the schedule is enabled.

 

2. Installation of i-PRO Active Guard

Refer to the i-PRO Active Guard Setup Instructions for Genetec to complete the installation.

 

3. Watchlist and Action Configuration

3-1. Creating a Watch List

Select [Security Desk] - [Task] - [i-PRO Active Guard Search].

 

Select "Setup watchlists".

 

Select [Face] and click "New Registration".

 

Click the icon, then select the file you want to use.

 

The system will analyze the image and display the detected faces. If multiple people are in the file, all detected faces will be displayed. Select a face (red area below) then a white frame will be displayed around the detected face.

 

By pressing the “Image guidelines” button, you can see a sample of face image quality suitable for registration.
Recommended width of face for registration is more than 75 pixels. If the selected face is below this value, a message will be shown.

 

At least one face image must be registered.
Enter the other required information, then click "Save".
By setting a Category, you can use it as a filter for event searches.

 

3-2. Action setting

Select [Config Tool] - [System] - [General settings] - [Actions].
Click the “+” button.

 

Under "When," select  "Registered Face Detection(i-PRO)".
Under "Action," select the action to be performed when the event occurs. In this example, "Play sound" is selected.
Click "Save".

 

4. Monitoring and Searching Watchlist Events

4-1. Monitoring Watchlist Events

Select [Security Desk] - [Tasks] - [Monitoring].
Click "Monitoring" in the bottom left menu. Click the "+" button to add the target camera.

 

When a registered watchlist is detected, "Registered Face Detection(i-PRO)" will be displayed. 

 

4-2. Searching Watchlist Events

Select [Security Desk] - [Tasks] - [i-PRO Active Guard Event].

 

Select conditions such as "Entities", "Event", "Time range", and click "Generate report" to display the reports.
In the "Registered face detection" filter, filtering is possible using the created watchlists.

 

With the Registered Face Detection filter enabled, matching faces in the Face watchlist are shown.

 

A. Watchlist

Select a face from watchlist and search for similar face. Click [Search watchlist] with search conditions.

 

Select a face from the search result.

 

B. Category type

It is also possible to display by category registered in Watchlist.

 

After clicking "Generate report" to display the reports, a list of events that match the conditions will be shown.

 

You can play it by clicking on the thumbnail.

 

5. Searching for Faces Using Watchlists and Photos

Select [Security Desk] - [Tasks] - [i-PRO Active Guard Search].

 

Select the date, cameras, and  Face filter options, then click Search.

 

With the Face filter enabled, only thumbnails detected by the AI camera with the face detection app are shown.
Also, using the filter panel, you can search from watchlists and a photo.

A. Watchlist

Select a face from watchlists and search for similar face. Click [Search watchlist] with search conditions.

 

Select a face from the search result.

 

B. Upload photo 

Upload an image file that includes a face and search for similar faces. Click icon or drag and drop an image file.

 

When a face is detected in the image, select the face.

 

The search results matching the criteria will be displayed in a list.

 

You can play it by clicking on the thumbnail.
