How to Use the Zoom and Preset Position Features of High-Zoom Bullet Cameras in Milestone XProtect

Scenario:
Unlike standard fixed cameras, high-zoom bullet cameras are equipped with Zoom and Preset Position features. This guide explains how to configure these features in the Management Client and how to operate them in the Smart Client.

High Zoom Bullet Camera:
High Zoom Bullet Cameras are designed to deliver exceptional long-range investigation with advanced edge AI capabilities. Equipped with powerful zoom and IR LED technologies, the new cameras offer unrivaled precision for long-distance monitoring across various environments, such as highways, parking lots, bridges, ports, and rooftops.

1. Configuration in Management Client　　

1-1. Registering the Camera

Open Management Client and register your camera.
Once the camera is registered, navigate to the [PTZ] tab of the device.
Ensure that the "Enable PTZ" option has been checked.

1-2. Getting Preset Positions

In the [Presets] tab, select the checkbox for "Use presets from device".
Click "Get" to retrieve the preset positions.
When a confirmation message appears, click "Yes".

Note:
Make sure that preset positions have been registered on the camera beforehand.

The preset positions stored on the camera will now be loaded into Milestone XProtect.

2. Operations on Smart Client

You can operate the Zoom and Preset Position features in the Smart Client.

2-1. Using the Zoom Feature

The Zoom feature can be controlled either using the PTZ panel or the mouse scroll wheel.

2-2. Using the Preset Position Feature

You can call the preset positions registered in the Management Client directly from the live view in the Smart Client by clicking the icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
