Security Radar-Driven PTZ Camera Auto Tracking Integration in Genetec Security Center
Last updated: April 2026
Scenario:
This guide explains how to integrate the i‑PRO Security Radar with PTZ cameras in Genetec Security Center without RSA Surveillance Plugin.
When a Security Radar alarm is triggered, the PTZ camera automatically tracks the detected object and generates auto-tracking alarms that can be received by Genetec Security Center.
If you use Genetec RSA Surveillance Plugin, refer to i-PRO Security Radar in Genetec RSA Surveillance Plugin.

5. How It Works
5.1 Automatic Linkage between Security Radar and PTZ Camera
When the Security Radar generates an alarm, the Radar detection information is sent to the PTZ camera.
Upon receiving the alarm, the PTZ camera starts Auto Tracking.
1. Start the Security Desk.
In the [Monitoring] screen, Camera - 01 displays the camera video, and Camera - 02 displays the radar map.
Add the registered PTZ cameras to the [Monitoring] screen.
2. When the Security Radar detects an intruder, the position is shown on the map.
The PTZ camera automatically follows the target using AI-based Auto Tracking as instructed by the Security Radar.
5.2 PTZ Camera Auto Tracking on Security Radar Alarms
When the Security Radar generates an alarm, the Radar detection information is sent to the PTZ camera.
Upon receiving the alarm, the PTZ camera starts Auto Tracking. At the same time, the PTZ camera issues an Auto Tracking Alarm, which can be received by Genetec Security Center.
1. Start the Security Desk.
When the PTZ cameras are added in steps 4 through 6 of [4.3 Event Notification Settings], alarm notifications from the PTZ cameras are displayed in the notification history (see the figure below).
2. When the settings in Section [4.4 Event-to-action Settings] are configured, PTZ cameras alarm notifications appear on the [Alarm monitoring] screen, as shown below.
