3.Set the camera

3.1Check whether the object is of the proper size.

When using our Extension software, you can check the number of grids to see if it is the right size to recognize object. Refer to <Control No.: C0320> on the following technical information website.

3.2Adjust the image quality

This section explains how to adjust the image quality when installing the camera.

3.2.1Set the light intensity control mode depending on the installation location and installation area.

Use [Light control mode] to set the light intensity appropriate for the installation location and area.

Select [Light control mode]

To install outdoors: Set [Outdoor scene].

For indoor installation: Set [Indoor scene(50Hz)] or [Indoor scene(60Hz)].
50 Hz/60 Hz can be used differently depending on the region.

・Basically, [Fix shutter] is not used.

3.2.2Set white balance depending on the lighting environment you install.

Use [White balance] to set the white balances appropriate for the installation location and area.

Select [White balance]

Select from [ATW1], [ATW2], and [AWC].

[ATW1]

Set the automatic color temperature tracking mode. The camera continuously checks the color temperature of the light source and automatically adjusts the white balance.
The operating range is about 2700 K to 6000 K.

[ATW2]

Set the automatic color temperature tracking mode. The camera automatically adjusts the white balance under a sodium lamp.
The operating range is from about 2000 K to 6000 K.

[AWC]

Set the automatic white balance control mode. Since the light source is fixed, it is suitable for shooting in a place where the lighting environment does not change.
The operating range is from approximately 2000 K to 10000 K.

Colors may not be reproducible faithfully if the following conditions are met: In such cases, set it to [AWC].

・Largely dark object

・Clear blue sky or the sun at dusk

・Object with too low illumination

3.2.3Sets night time black-and-white switching mode

You can switch to color or black-and-white images by using [Day & Night(IR)] when shooting at night.

The items that can be set differ depending on the part number. Check it against the part number of your camera.

The picture is always taken in black and white. This setting is used when near-infrared lighting is used at night.

[Auto1(IR Light Off)]

The color image and black-and-white image are automatically switched depending on the brightness (illumination) of the image.

[Auto2(IR Light On)]

The color image and black-and-white image are automatically switched depending on the brightness (illumination) of the image. This is set when the near-infrared illumination is used at night.

[Off]

This function is used for shooting colored images at night as well.

[On]

[Auto1(Normal)]

The color image and black-and-white image are automatically switched depending on the brightness (illumination) of the image.

[Auto2(IR Light)]

The color image and black-and-white image are automatically switched depending on the brightness (illumination) of the image. This is set when the near-infrared illumination is used at night.

[Auto3(SCC)]

Set this when you want to maintain a color image even when the light source is dark. The Super Chroma Compensation (SCC) function maintains the color image to low illumination.

3.2.4Setting White Light at night

You can make them brighter by using [White Light] to illuminate dark areas when shooting at night.

3.3Adjust the zoom/focus

You can manually or automatically adjust the zoom or focus of the displayed image.

You can set zoom and focus by clicking [Camera control] on the Live image pages.

Configuring [Zoom], [Focus], and [Displays the auto focus frame] on the [PTZ] tabs

・

Left-click the control pad to adjust the horizontal position (PAN) and vertical position (TILT) of the image.

・

Right-click the control pad to adjust the zoom and focus. Zoom can also be adjusted with the mouse wheel operation.

3.4Hide some of the images

If you set the area to be hidden, you can move the camera's field angle while holding the area to be hidden.

Set [Privacy zone].

Set the [Privacy zone Display type] to [On]/[Off].

Select the number of the zone you want to set from [Zone No] pull-down menu.

3.

Specify four vertices on the image and press [Set] button.

3.5Display the angle, direction, magnification, etc. in the image

You can select the information displayed in the image when you manually operate it.

From the [Camera position display] pull-down menu, select the information you want to view and press [Scene change detection].

3.6Set the camera operation

Set the camera operation, preset position, and auto tracking.

3.6.1Limit the camera's operating range

When you want to shoot in a specific area, you can control the shooting area by limiting the camera's operation in the PAN direction and the TILT direction.

Set the [Pan/tilt range setting] to [On] and set the angle of view in each direction.

3.6.2Move the camera automatically

The selected operation can be started from the [Auto mode] in the [PTZ] pane of the Live image pages. Settings for each operation are made from the Advanced menu.

3.6.2.1Automatically track and shoot objects

When movement is detected in the set alarm area, the target is automatically tracked and shot.

Set items by clicking [Basic settings]

Select the object or size to be detected.

Set auto-tracking by clicking [Auto track activation setting (Area)]

Select whether or not to automatically track [Detection object] in the area you set up.

3.6.2.2Shoot automatically in the PAN direction

Turn the set range of movement of the PAN automatically to take a picture.

Set the left and right endpoints using the [Zoom], [Focus], and Control pads/buttons.

Set the stopping time/speed/turn direction with [Auto pan].

3.6.2.3Take pictures around the designated area

Move the preset position registered as the area you want to shoot in order from the lowest preset number.

3.6.2.4Set up patrols

The patrol function stores PAN/TILT/ZOOM/Focus and reproduces the stored operation. When you register a patrol, a patrol is displayed on the [Auto mode] of the Live image pages.

Live image pages [Scene change detection]>[Detail setting]>[Camera detailed setting]>[PTZ]>[Position]>The [Patrol] [Advanced settings] displays the patrol settings window.

Select the number of patrols to be stored and the number of patrols to be set.

Set [Zoom], [Focus], Control Pad, [Brightness], [Preset]

・The settings saved in Advanced Settings can be changed by Live image pages.

3.7Set up Wiper

Due to its characteristics, this server is installed in a harsh environment. Therefore, the front glass can be dirty. Therefore, by clicking [Start] button on the screen to control the wiper. This function removes the dirt from the front glass. When [Stop] is clicked, control of the wiper is stopped.
In [Wiper], [Continuous:High], [Continuous:Low], [1shot], or [Washer] can be selected.
[Continuous:High], [Continuous:Low] and [1shot] are used when the front glass is dirty.
[Washer] is used when the wiper-controlled state is dry and there is a condition where the dirt cannot be removed in one direction.

➣

Select [Wiper] operation from the pull-down menu.

・

Select [Continuous:High], [Continuous:Low], [1shot], or [Washer].

[Start] button is clicked.

・

Starts the operation selected with 1.

[Continuous:High]

The wiper wipes the front glass once every 6 seconds.

[Continuous:Low]

The wiper wipes the front glass once every 11 seconds.

[1shot]

The wiper wipes the front glass 4 times.

[Washer]

Install a washer nozzle on the camera body. Spray washer liquid on the front glass from the installed washer nozzle and wipe it off automatically with a wiper.

・[Washer] can be selected only when [Washer control] is set in [Relay output] on [Basic] > [Basic] tab of Live image pages Settings panel > [Detailed setting] > [Camera detailed setting] > Advanced menu on the left. At that time, the [Washer control] link is displayed in the item.

・During washer operations, [Wiper] [Start] and [Stop], pan/tilt/zoom/focus control, [Auto mode] [Start], preset action, and Settings in [Image/Position] Tab cannot be operated.

・When [Continuous:High] or [Continuous:Low] is selected and the [Start] button is clicked, the wiper will stop after a maximum of 5 minutes from when the [Start] button was clicked.

・During pan/tilt/zoom controls, [Start] may not be able to be operated for the washer.

・If the wiper or washer operations are started during auto tracking operations, the wiper may be detected and tracked.

・Refer to the User Manual for instructions on details on each setting method of [Washer control]

3.8Set up Glass Heater

[Glass Heater] is used when the front glass becomes cloudy and the image becomes difficult to see in a low-temperature environment.

Live image pages camera control panel display button>You can set in [Glass Heater] on the [Camera control] panel.

Select [Glass Heater duration] from the pull-down menu.

・

Select [5min], [10min], [15min], [20 min], [30min], [45 min], [60min], [90 min], [120 min], or [180 min].

2.

[Start] button is clicked.

・

The [Glass Heater] will start operating for the specified [Glass Heater duration].

・If the camera gets hot, [Glass Heater] may stop automatically.

3.9Identify sounds with AI

Image monitoring can be enhanced by identifying and detecting human cries, broken glass sounds, horns, guns, and other sounds.

Set [Audio detection] to [On] to set sound detection.

Select Sensitivity of Detection with [Detection sensitivity].

Select the sound to be detected by [AI analytics target].

・

Selection of [Other] is not recommended in conjunction with other sounds detected. For example, when a gun sound is detected with the settings for detecting two sounds: [Gunshot] and [Other], it is detected as two sounds.

3.10Set up events

You can set the alarm to detect the operation of an area or interference to the camera, or the operation when the alarm is detected.

3.10.1Detect object movements

When an alarm is activated, the camera operates as set. There are patterns for the alarms when the specified area moves and when the camera is blocked.

3.10.1.1Set the area for detecting the movement of an object

Set the area for detecting the movement of an object using the motion detection function using video images.

Select the preset position number to be set for the motion detection area and press [Start].

Drag through the image to set the area.

3.14.2About delivery volume control (bit rate)

The following types of delivery modes are used to control the amount of delivery (bit rate) of the stream, and settings are made accordingly. You can also use smart coding, such as [Smart VIQS], to reduce the amount of data. For information about controlling the amount of stream delivery, see the following. Refer to the User Manual for details.

Fixed bit rate:
The H.265 (or H.264) images are delivered at the bit rate set by [Max bit rate (per client) *].

・

Variable bit rate:
The H.265 (or H.264) images are delivered at the frame rate set by [Frame rate*] while maintaining the image quality level set by [Image/Privacy]. At this time, the bit rate is varied within the maximum bit rate set by [Max bit rate (per client) *]. The recording capacity varies depending on the [Image/Privacy] settings and the object status.

Specify Frame Rate:
H.265 (or H.264) images are delivered at the frame rate set by [Frame rate*].

・

Best effort delivery:
Depending on the bandwidth of the networks, H.265 (or H.264) images are delivered with varying bit rates within the maximum bit rate set by [Max bit rate (per client) *].

3.14.3Reducing Data Capacity with Smart Coding

Smart coding is a data-compression technique that optimizes the compression ratio by reducing compression and high compression in the background to clearly show the human face, and by object.

This image is an image. This is different from the actual view of the screen.

[Smart VIQS]

The image quality of the area where the object (head, people, automobiles, and motorcycles) is displayed is maintained at a high level. Images other than objects are delivered in such a way that low or medium image quality is maintained and the amount of data is reduced.

[Smart P-picture control]

In order to reduce the amount of data, data generation (macroblock) is reduced in areas other than where objects (head, people, automobiles, and motorcycles) are displayed.

[GOP control]

You can reduce the amount of data.

3.15Displaying the Power Monitor on the screen

The Power Monitor feature displays on-screen power information currently used by the camera.
