Tap to start up this app installed on your smartphone or tablet PC.
When you start the app for the first time, the license agreement screen will be displayed.

1 Tap [Agree].


⇒ The settings screen for this app will be displayed.


First of all, you must first register a Remote Monitoring account or register your cameras or recorders.


[Important]

● Depending on the settings of your mobile device, you may need to allow device discovery and connection on the local network when registering equipment or services.
If prompted, please grant permission.


Register a cloud service connection (Remote Monitoring) account in this app.


By registering an account, you can view footage from cameras and recorders registered with the cloud service.


In this manual, these devices are referred to as "Cloud Camera" and "Via Cloud Recorder".


For more details, please refer to "Cloud service Connection (Remote Monitoring)"



 

1 Tap [Remote Monitoring registration].



2 Tap


⇒ The Remote Monitoring registration screen will appear.


[Important]

● If you are using the service, make sure that "Remote Monitoring (Outside Japan)" is selected. If it is not selected, refer to "4.2.1 Select a cloud service" to change the settings.



 

3 Tap each item to configure the settings.


⇒ For details on each setting, refer to "Setting item list(Remote Monitoring registration)".



If you want to use features such as "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google", please refer to "4.2.4 Access Remote Monitoring using your Apple or Google account (Single Sign-On)".

4 Once the input is complete, tap [Set].


⇒ When the settings are successfully registered, a message saying "Registration is complete" will appear. Tap [OK] to confirm.



※ Depending on the settings of your mobile device, you may need to allow device discovery and connection on the local network during registration. If prompted, please grant permission.



5 Tap [Video check].


⇒ The Remote Monitoring camera list screen will be displayed. (3.1.1 Camera list screen (Live))

Name

Enter a name of up to 16 characters to be displayed on this app.


Example: Headquarters (Available characters: Alphanumeric characters, 1-byte symbols)


Device Type

The type of cloud service is displayed.


The “Device Type” cannot be changed on this screen.


If “Remote Monitoring” is not displayed, refer to “4.2.1 Select a cloud service”.


E-mail address
Enter the e-mail address registered to Remote Monitoring.
Password

Enter the password registered to Remote Monitoring.


By tapping , the password you entered will be displayed.


Sign in with Apple
Sign in with Google
You can sign in to Remote Monitoring using your Apple account or Google account.
Apple accounts can only be used with iOS.
Google accounts can be used with both iOS and Android.
For more information, please refer to "4.2.4 Access Remote Monitoring using your Apple or Google account (Single Sign-On)".
Notification settings
You can set the types of events to be notified of from Remote Monitoring, the notification method, and the days of the week and time periods to receive notifications.
For details, please refer to "4.2.5 Select the function type of the event to be notified from Remote Monitoring" and "4.2.6 Set the event schedule to be notified from Remote Monitoring".
Camera registration(manual input)
You can register cameras to Remote Monitoring.
For more details, please refer to "4.2.7 Registration of camera in Remote Monitoring"
Display the web portal
The external link for Remote Monitoring will be displayed.

Register the cameras and recorders that you want to connect to this app.


If you want to check the video from the cameras and recorders using IP addresses or domain names without using Remote Monitoring, register them here. In this manual, these devices are referred to as "independent cameras," "Via Recorder," and "Direct Camera." For details, please refer to "IP・Domain Connection".

● For number of cameras or recorders that can be registered, refer to “5.1 Specifications”.



 

1 Tap [Device setting (IP・domain)].

3 Tap each item to set it.


⇒ For details on each setting item, refer to "Setting item list (device registration)".



 

4 Once you've finished entering the information, tap [Set].


⇒ Once the setting information has been registered, the message "your terminal connected." will be displayed, so tap [OK].


* Depending on the settings of your mobile device, you may need to allow device search and connection on the local network when registering. If so, please allow it.



5 Tap [Video check].

⇒ The camera list screen of the registered device will be displayed. (3.1.1 Camera list screen (Live))

Name

Select the type of the device to be registered.
Recorder/ Camera/ Camera(Multi-directional)/ Encoder/ Camera(ONVIF)
Address
Depending on the connection environment, “Address” is to be configured as follows.
When using via the Internet*1:
Enter the URL of DDNS being set to the device to be registered or the global IP address of the router.
When using within the local network:
Enter the local IP address of the device to be registered.
Port Num
Enter the HTTP port number (0 to 65535) or the HTTPS port number (0 to 65535) of the device to be registered.
When using while setting “SSL communication” to “On” or “On (Video & Setting data)”
Configure the HTTPS setting on the device to be registered in advance. For further information including how to set up, refer to the operating instructions of each device.
SSL
Select a method to communicate with the device to be registered from the following.
When “Camera”, “Camera(Multi-directional)”, “Encoder”, or “Camera(ONVIF)” is selected for “Device Type”:
Off/ On
When “Recorder” is selected for “Device Type”:
Off/ On (Setting data only)/ On (Video & Setting data)
CH
This will be displayed when “Encoder” is selected for “Device Type”.
Enter a CH (channel) of the encoder to be displayed.
Camera Num
This will be displayed when “Camera(Multi-directional)” is selected for “Connection destination type”. Select a camera number of the multi-directional camera to be displayed.
User name
Enter the user name registered in the device.
Password

Enter the password registered in the device.


By tapping , the password you entered will be displayed.


Live Setting
Configure the image capture size and the frame rate for live video stream. Refer to Live stream settings, Frame rate setting, Resolution setting for further information.
Playback Setting
This will be displayed when “Recorder” is set for “Device Type” and registered with this app.
Select a playback mode from the following.
Transcode/ Normal/ Low Load (Default: Transcode)
Refer to “3.9 Switch the settings for playback” for further information.

*1 When using via the Internet, set the port forwarding function of the router. Refer to the manuals provided with the router for further information.
Automatic setting with the router is possible by setting the UPnp (auto port forwarding) of the camera to “On”. (Only when a router supporting UPnp is in use)

Streams that can be set vary depending on the live video type. Refer to “2.2.3 Live video type” for further information.

Setting for live video from an independent camera

The following streams can be set.

● Live video from an independent camera: JPEG, Stream(1) to (4)


● Live video from a camera connected to a recorder (Via Recorder): JPEG, H.264/H.265


● Live video from a camera connected to a recorder (Direct Camera): JPEG only



Setting for live video from a camera connected to a recorder (via recorder)
Set the frame rate for live video.
Tap [Live Setting] on the “Device Registration” screen. (Live stream settings)
[Important]

● When “H.264/H.265” or “Stream(1) - (4)” is set for “Live stream settings”, the content of “Frame Rate Setting” cannot be changed. When the frame rate setting cannot be changed, videos will be distributed at the framerate set on the device.

2  Set the frame rate.
Select a frame rate from the following.
Depends on Camera Setting*/ 0.5 fps/ 1.0 fps/  2.0 fps/ 5.0 fps

* Videos will be received at the frame rate set on the camera.


Set the resolution of live video.
Tap [Live Setting] on the “Device Registration” screen. (Live stream settings)
[Important]

● When “H.264/H.265” or “Stream(1) - (4)” is set for “Live stream settings”, the content of “Resolution Setting” cannot be changed. When “Resolution Setting” cannot be changed, videos will be distributed at the resolution set on the device.

Select a resolution from the following.
Depends on Camera Setting*/ 320/ 640/ 1280

* Videos will be received at the resolution set on the camera.


There are five types of live videos and available video and audio format are different depending on the live video type.
For Cloud service connection (Remote Monitoring), enter the email address and password for the Remote Monitoring account to register the service.
(1)Live video from a camera registered with Remote Monitoring(Cloud Camera)
Live video being captured from a camera registered with Remote Monitoring.
(2) Live video from a camera connected to a recorder registered with Remote Monitoring(Via Clould Recorder)

Live video being captured from a camera connected to a recorder registered with Remote Monitoring and sent via a recorder.


What is a “camera connected to a recorder”?
A “camera connected to a recorder” is one of cameras connected to and registered in a recorder that is registered in this app.
For IP or Domain connection, enter the device's IP address or domain name, port number, user name, and password to register the device.
(3) Live video from an independent camera
Live video being captured and sent from an independent camera.

What is an “independent camera”?
An “independent camera” is a camera that is independently registered in this app as “Camera” , “Camera(Multi-directional)”, “Encoder”, or “Camera(ONVIF)” for “Device Type”.
(4) Live video from a camera connected to a recorder (Via Recorder)

Live video being captured from a camera connected to a recorder and sent via the recorder.


(5) Live video from a camera connected to a recorder (Direct Camera)
Live video being captured from a camera connected to a recorder and sent directly from the camera (not via the recorder).
