1.Introduction

This document explains how to register the function extension software, AI Free Text Detection application, to the AI Network Camera (sold separately, hereinafter referred to as the camera), the settings required before starting operation, and how to operate it during operation.This product is intended to be used after being registered with a camera, so please be sure to also read the instruction manual for your camera before using it. Also, some of the setting screens shown in this manual may differ depending on the model of your camera and the version of i-PRO Configuration Tool (hereinafter referred to as iCT).

1.1Product Overview

This software enables more convenient use of the AI Network Camera (sold separately, hereinafter referred to as the “camera”) and the AI-VMD/AI People Counting application for 360‑degree fisheye cameras(hereinafter referred to as “AI-VMD/AI People Counting application”).
By using this product, you can detect objects and specific conditions through text input, and send alarm notifications.

1.2Features

With this product, you can set conditions using free-text input in response to alarms triggered by the AI-VMD/AI People Counting application for 360‑degree fisheye cameras.
Additionally, thumbnails can be sent for use in Free-Text Search within the i-PRO Active Guard.

Alarm Notifications

It can detect events based on specified conditions and send real-time alarm notifications.

Free Text Detection: Detects objects and their states specified by the user via text.

Fight Detection: Detects fights between people.

Fall Detection: Detects when a person has fallen.

Thumbnail Transmission

You can send thumbnail images and image features of Human, Vehicle, Bicycle, Other Moving Objects, and Specified area.

1.3Precautions

The following events may cause missed or false detections.

・

The difference in brightness between the background and the subject (the difference in brightness) is small.

・

Image brightness is low, such as at night.

・

The subject is out of focus.

・

The subject is blurred.

・

The subject moves too fast or too slowly.

・

The subject is too small or too large.

・

The subject is white or blackened.

・

The person is short. (Reference: 120cm or less)

・

The person is not walking independently. (e.g. an infant)

・

Light conditions, such as outdoors and windows, are easily changed.

・

Too many subjects. (Guideline: 20 or more)

・

Multiple subjects intersect.

・

External light such as sunlight and car headlights, and reflection of light such as water pools and glass come in.

・

Strong external light is inserted to create a subject and other shadows.

・

Illuminance changes such as turning lights on and off.

・

The weather is extremely bad.

・

You see posters and mannequins of people and vehicles.

・

The camera lens is wet or dirty.

・

The camera is swinging.
