11.5 Adjust the angular field of view using the extra zoom function
Click the [Setup>>] button of “Extra zoom” on the [Image quality] tab of the “Image/Audio” page. (→11.4 Configure the settings relating to image adjust, extra zoom, privacy zone, VIQS, and lens distortion compensation [Image quality])
It is possible to adjust the angular field of view using the extra zoom function.

: Click this button to adjust the zoom ratio to the “Wide” side.
•
: Click this button to set the zoom ratio to x1.0.
•
: Click this button to adjust the zoom ratio to the “Tele” side.
•
: Click this button to adjust the horizontal and vertical positions of the image after zooming.
Note
•
When “2 mega pixel [16:9]” is selected for “Image capture mode”, the maximum zoom ratio is x3.0.
•
When “1.3 mega pixel [16:9]” or “1.3 mega pixel [4:3]” is selected for “Image capture mode”, the maximum zoom ratio is x2.0.
•
When “3 mega pixel [4:3]” is selected for “Image capture mode”, the maximum zoom ratio is x3.2.
IMPORTANT

The extra zoom function may not be activated on the appropriate position if the setting for the function is performed after the settings for the mask areas (→11.4.2 Set mask areas), privacy zone (→11.6 Configure the settings relating to the privacy zone (“Privacy zone” setup menu)), VMD area (→13.4 Configure the VMD settings [VMD area]), VIQS area (→11.7 Configure the VIQS setting), cropping area (→14.1 Configure the settings relating to cropping [Cropping]), picture in picture cropping area (→14.2 Configure the picture in picture settings [PiP]). To prevent this, perform the setting for the extra zoom function before other settings.

When using the lens distortion compensation function, if the extra zoom function is used, the lens distortion compensation function is disabled.
