11.8 Configure the settings relating to the privacy zone (“Privacy zone” setup menu)
Click the [Setup>>] button of “Privacy zone” on the [Image/Position] tab of the “Image/Audio” page. (→11.5 Configure the settings relating to image adjust, zoom/focus, preset position, privacy zone and VIQS [Image/Position])
When there is a zone that you do not want to display, set the zone as a privacy zone not to be displayed. Up to 8 privacy zones can be set.
[Area]
The privacy zone will be set when an area is designated by dragging the mouse. Each zone can be overlapped. The zones are numbered sequentially from area 1.
Note
•
Set the privacy zone larger than the size of an object to be hidden.
[Status]
Select “On” or “Off” to determine whether or not to display the privacy zone.

On: The privacy zone will be displayed.
•
Off: The privacy zone will not be displayed.
•
Default: Off
[Delete] button
Click the [Delete] button corresponding to the zone to be deleted.
[Close] button
Click this button to close the “Privacy zone” setup menu.
IMPORTANT
•
After configuring the privacy zone, the privacy zone may move out of alignment when the “Image capture mode”, “Upside-down”, or “Zoom” setting is changed. Make sure to check the privacy zone after changing the “Image capture mode” setting.
Note
•
Before setting the privacy zone, adjust the angular field of view and focus.
When the privacy zone is set, the focus may not be adjusted automatically.
In such a case, adjust the focus manually.
