Troubleshooting: Bounding Box Not Displayed

Scenario: This guide explains what to check if a bounding box is not displayed in Milestone XProtect.
1. Check the Camera Settings
1.1 Enable AI-VMD and Check the Area Settings
1.2 Check the Schedule Settings
1.3 Check Time Synchronization
2. Check the XProtect Settings
1. Check the Camera Settings
1.1 Enable AI-VMD and Check the Area Settings
1. Open the camera settings in a web browser.
2. Select [Ext. software] > [AI-VMD].

3. Select [2. AI motion detection setting].
4. Make sure the Detection area is properly configured.
5. Make sure the Detection object is properly configured.
6. Make sure the Detection mode is properly configured.

7. Select [4. Detailed setting].
8. Click [Advanced setting].
9. Make sure Additional information type is set to [With detect object information (alarm frame information)] or [With detect object information (AI frame information)].

1.2 Check the Schedule Settings
1. Select [Operation sched.].
2. Make sure the AI-VMD schedule is enabled.

1.3 Check Time Synchronization
Verify that the time on the camera and the PC are synchronized.
1. If there is a time discrepancy, go to [Basic] > [Basic].
2. Check the box for [Set PC time to the camera], then click [Set].

3. If you are using an NTP server, go to [Network] > [Advanced] > [NTP].
Ensure that the NTP settings are properly configured.

2. Check the XProtect Settings
1. Open the Management Client.
2. Select the target camera.
3. Select [Metadata 1] and right-click.
4. Make sure the [Enable] checkbox is checked.
If it is already checked, uncheck it once and then check it again.

5. Open the Smart Client.
6. Select the target camera.
7. Make sure the bounding box is displayed.
