Tailgating Detection by AI-VMD Cross Line

Scenario:
With AI-VMD version 3.80 or later, AI-VMD Cross Line supports tailgating detection.
This page explains how to configure Genetec Security Center to receive AI-VMD Cross Line events and notify alarms for tailgating.

How to Set Up Tailgating Detection with i-PRO AI-VMD|Secure Your Entrances
1. Camera Settings
1. Open the camera settings screen and go to [-Ext. software] > [AI-VMD].
2. Go to [2. AI motion detection setting].
3. Select [Cross line] in the [Detection mode] setting.
Draw the cross line boundary.
Click [Set].
4. Go to [4. Detailed setting].
5. Select the desired time in [Tailgating detection time] setting.
Click [Set].
2. Genetec Settings
2.1 Create Alarm
1. Open [Config Tool].
2. Go to [Config Tool] > [Alarms].
3. Click the [Add an entity] button, and select [Alarm].
4. Enter "Tailgating" in [Name], and then click [Apply].
5. Go to the [Properties] tab.
6. Click the [+] button in Recipients, and select the target users. Click [Add].
7. Click [Apply].
2.2 Action Settings
1. In Security Center, go to [Config Tool] > [Automation].
2. Click the [+] button.
3. Set the parameters as follows.
When: select [Object crossed line]
From: select the target camera
Action: select [Trigger an alarm]
Alarm: select [Tailgating]
4. Click [Save].
3. How It Works
When an AI-VMD Cross Line event occurs, a notification for tailgating appears in the [Alarm monitoring] tab.
