Scene Change Detection

Scenario: This page explains how to integrate Genetec Security Center with the Scene Change Detection (SCD) feature.

1. Camera Settings  

1.1 SCD Area Settings

 1. Open the [Setup] > [Alarm] > [Scene change detection(SCD)alarm] screen.


 2. Create a detection area and turn ON the status.


 3. Click the [Set] button to save the configuration.
 

1.2 TCP Alarm Notification

1. Open the [Alarm] > [Notification] > [TCP alarm notification] screen.
2. Set [TCP alarm notification] and [Additional alarm data] to ON.
3. Confirm that the [Destination of notification] is configured.


4. Click the [Set] button to save the configuration.

1.3 Schedule Settings

1. Open the [Schedule] settings screen.
2. Set the Schedule mode to [SCD permission].
3. Set the [Time range].


4. Click the [Set] button to save the configuration.

 

2. Genetec Settings

2.1 Alarm Settings

To activate an alarm, create an alarm by going to [Config Tool] > [Tasks] > [Alarm], and associate it with the target camera. 

 

2.2 Action Settings

1. Add items through [Config Tool] > [Tasks] > [Automations] > [Actions].


2. On the [Event-to-action] screen, configure the settings.
 (Example: To set the action to [Alarm activation], an alarm must first be created as mentioned in Section 2.1 Alarm Settings.)

 

You should select the following option for [When] to receive the scene change detection alarm.

 When: Camera tampering
 Form: Target Camera
 Action: Optional (Example: Trigger Alarm)
 Alarm: Optional (SCENE CHANGE)

 

2.3 Add Monitoring Active

1. Click [Monitoring Active] on the [Security Desk] > [Tasks] > [Monitoring] screen to open the [Event monitoring] settings, and click the [+] (Add) button.
 When the target camera is added, [Camera tampering] will be displayed in the event history when a SCENE CHANGE is received.
2. Scene change detection alarms received from the camera will be displayed in the history.


3. You can also view them as events (Analytics) in the upper-right corner of the [Security Desk] > [Tasks] > [Monitoring] screen when an alarm is received.

*To display a pop-up image of the target camera in the upper-right corner of the [Security Desk] > [Monitoring] screen when an alarm is received, go to [Security Desk] > [Options] > [Alarms], and under [When a new alarm occurs] > [Display in], select [Popup] .
