AI Processing Relay

Scenario:
With AI Processing Relay, a non-AI camera can function as an AI camera. To use AI Processing Relay, an AI X-Series camera or an i-PRO mini camera is required. This guideline describes how to use AI Processing Relay to analyze video from a non-AI camera with an AI application and send alarms to Genetec Security Center via i-PRO Active Guard:

2. Genetec Settings
2-1. Registering Non-AI Cameras
Register Non-AI cameras in Security Center.
2-2. Creating Alarms
Open [Config Tool], and click [Alarms].
Click [Add an entity] - [Alarm].
Enter the event name in the "Name" field. Refer to the table below for the event name.
In the following examples, AI-VMD Intruder (Genetec: Object detection in field) is configured.

These options should be enabled in section 3 (i-PRO Active Guard Settings).
*1:It is necessary to enable "Alarm of AI Processing relay app."

*3:It is necessary to enable "System error," "Exceed the receive data limit (data loss)" and "Reach the max usage of image storage drive(delete old images)."
Click [Properties].
Set the user in [Recipients] and the non-AI camera in [Attached entities].

3. i-PRO Active Guard Settings
Open the i-PRO Active Guard Server settings in a browser at https://127.0.0.1:8092.
Click the "Add Cameras" icon, then select [Add devices] - [AI Processing Relay.]

Enter the AI camera's IP address, username, and password, then click "Check."
Once the camera is displayed, click "Save."
The model name will be displayed as "Non-AI Camera (AI Camera)."
A message will appear prompting you to restart the i-PRO Active Guard Server, but you do not need to restart it yet. Restart it only after completing all settings.

Select the VMS server settings icon. Click "Advance" for the target VMS.

Check "Alarm Notification" and close the window.
By enabling Alarm notification instead of Event-to-Action on Genetec config tool, event detail will be shown on Alarm Monitoring/Reporting task. Beforehand, users must configure create alarms and alarm reception settings with the Genetec Config Tool in the section 2-2.
However, be aware that using Event-to-Action on the Genetec Config Tool does not display detailed information.
By clicking the information icon, you can view the event name details.


Select the "Alarm of AI Processing relay app" checkbox, and click "Save."
Then, click "Restart" to restart the i-PRO Active Guard Server.

4. Confirmation of Alarm Reception
A message appears in the Alarm Monitor tab when an alarm is received. Detailed information will be shown in the Context.
