This section explains the procedure for configuring AI People Detection on the camera.

Open the camera settings screen and go to [Ext. software] > [AI People detection].

 

1.1 Adjust the Camera Angle

Adjust the camera angle using [Best shot confirmation] to check the best shot images.

For details, please refer to Section 3.2 [Checking the people detection status] and the subsequent descriptions in the manual below.

1.2 Schedule Settings

Select [Ext. software] > [Operation sched.].
Select [AI People detection], and check that the schedule is enabled.

 

2. Installation of i-PRO Active Guard

Refer to the i-PRO Active Guard Setup Instructions for Genetec to complete the installation.

 

3. Watchlist and Action Configuration

3.1 Creating a Watch List

Select [Security Desk] > [Task] > [i-PRO Active Guard Search].

 

Select [Setup watchlists].

 

Select [People] and click [Create a new watchlist].

 

Select the attributes you want to add to the watchlist.
You can also register an image and automatically select attributes from the image.
To select attributes from a person's image, select the image to be registered from [Search by photo].
After selecting the attributes, click [Save watchlist].

 

3.2 Action Settings

Select [Config Tool] > [System] > [General settings] > [Actions].
Click the [+] button.

 

Under [When], select [Registered People Detection(i-PRO)].
Under [Action], select the action to be performed when the event occurs. In this example, [Play a sound] is selected.
Click [Save].

 

4. Monitoring and Searching Watchlist Events

4.1 Monitoring Watchlist Events

Select [Security Desk] > [Tasks] > [Monitoring].
Click [Monitoring] in the bottom left menu. Click the [+] button to add the target camera.

 

When a registered watchlist is detected, [Registered People Detection(i-PRO)] will be displayed. 

 

 

4.2 Searching Watchlist Events

Select [Security Desk] > [Tasks] > [i-PRO Active Guard Event].

 

Select conditions such as [Entities], [Event], [Time range], and click [Generate report] to display the reports.
In [Registered people detection] filter, filtering is possible using the created watchlists.

 

 

4.3 Registered People Detection Filter

With this filter enabled, all matching people in the People watchlist are shown.
Also, using the filter panel, you can select specific registered items from the People watchlist.

 

4.4 Display Search Result

After clicking [Generate report] to display the reports, a list of events that match the conditions will be shown.

 

You can play it by clicking on the thumbnail.

 

5. Searching for People by Attribute

Select [Security Desk] > [Tasks] > [i-PRO Active Guard Search].

 

Select the date, cameras, and  People filter options, then click Search.

 

With the People filter enabled, only the thumbnails of people detected by the AI Camera using the people detection app are shown.
Also, using the filter panel, you can apply the search condition.

Additional filters	Recognizable face can only show person thumbnails with clearly visible faces.
	Color image only Note: Black & white images may show in the search results even if [Color image only] is specified.
Threshold	Low, Average, High
Exclude searched color	If selected, the color will be excluded from search results.
Include similar color	If selected, colors similar to the specified color will be automatically included.

 

You can also search by photo. Click [Detect object].

 

Upload a photo and select a detected person from the list.
Click [OK]. Features are automatically detected.

 

The search results matching the criteria will be displayed in a list.

 

You can play it by clicking on the thumbnail.
