i-PRO Extreme series camera has a limit on the number of concurrent access users. When it reaches the limit, a user cannot view the live image via a web browser, instead the camera displays “Reached the concurrent access limit” as described below. 
To avoid possible problems in camera operation, this document provides the information on the number of concurrent access users based on our verification result.

The number of users that can access a camera in H.265 stream under the following condition:

• Audio: Off
• Internet mode: Off
• SD memory card recording format: Off
• Bandwidth control (bit rate): Default value for each camera
• Transmission type: Unicast

 

3. Notes

• This document only considers the number of access users and does not guarantee that the frame rate will be maintained.
   
• The maximum number of access users is as follows.
   WV-Sxxxx / WV-Xxxxx / WV-Uxxx series cameras: 14 Users 
   WV-S8xxx, WV-X8xxx: 24 Users
  *"xxxx" stands for 4-digit model number
               
• When the "Max bit rate(per client)" setting exceeds the value set in "Bandwidth control (bit rate)", the message "Reached the concurrent access limit" will be displayed.

   

• When the priority stream is set in WV-S8xxx and WV-X8xxx, one destination IP address is counted as 4 users, and two destination IP addresses are counted as 8 users, regardless of access status.

• Performing SD card recording is counted as one user.
  Even without recording, selecting a mode other than "Off" for the recording format will be counted as one user. 
   
• When "HTTPS" is selected for [Connection], the maximum bandwidth (bit rate) is limited to:
  16 Mbps in case of WV-Sxxxx / WV-Xxxxx / WV-Uxxxx series
  64 Mbps in case of WV-S8xxx / WV-X8xxx
  *"xxxx" stands for 4-digit model number

IMPORTANT

• The number of access users varies depending on the target model and parameter settings.
   
• If the number of access users exceeds the limit, the following symptoms will occur on the NX series recorder and WV-ASM300.
  - NX series recorder may not display the live video when switched to sequence display.　
  - WV-ASM300 may not display the live video when switched to sequence display.
    ("Maximum concurrent access" is displayed in the network failure log)

Note: "xxxx" stands for 4-digit model number
           Alphabet after the 4-digit number has no effect on the number of access users. (e.g. WV-X8570N)
